Chronoi Talks: “Objects of Temporality. Performativity and Temporality in Medieval Visual Art” (Hybrid)
Dr. Daniela Wagner
February 23, 2023
3 - 4 pm (CET)
Focusing on the performative interaction between the artwork and its beholder, the talk explores medieval artefacts in their function as temporal incubators and storage devices. Three artefacts, a book, a mosaic, and an oliphant, will open three different perspectives of how experience and/or conceptual knowledge of time and temporality are produced for and by the beholder while engaging with the artwork.
