Our director, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Christoph Markschies, and our former Fellow, Prof. Dr. Dr. Norman Sieroka, were recently featured in the De Gruyter podcast Wagnis Wissen (conducted in German):
Prof. Markschies discusses the concepts of time and time perception in antiquity and what we can still learn from them today. A volume in honor of his sixtieth birthday, edited by Julia Fischer, was recently published in our De Gruyter series.
Prof. Sieroka explores the contribution of philosophy to our understanding of time, the interplay between time perception and well-being, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our perception of time, and how listening and music can enhance our understanding of time. His book, Zeit-Hören. Erfahrungen, Taktungen, Musik, has also recently been published in our series.
