We are proud to present a new title in our De Gruyter series Chronoi: Time, Time Awareness, Time Management. "Damascius' Philosophy of Time" by Pantelis Golitsis explores the ideas of the late Platonist philosopher Damascius on the nature of time. Drawing on Plato, Aristotle, and his Neoplatonist predecessors, and anticipating modern theories such as McTaggart's series and presentism, Damascius offers novel perspectives on time, including its relationship to human existence, stillness, temporality and temporalization. The book provides an accessible overview of Damascius' thinking about conceptions of time, original research on his philosophy of time, and translates and annotates surviving fragments of his lost treatise "On Time". The book is now available in print and open access.
