Ismail Bekiroglu received a BA degree in History from Middle East Technical University (METU) in Turkey. He is currently studying for a Master's degree at the Institute of Iranian Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. He also works as a freelance guide in the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. His areas of interest are acculturation, intercultural interaction, and the socio-political history of ancient Mesopotamia.
